I’ve just set 11 goose eggs in the incubator. These are not mine but belong to a farmer friend who has a mated goose that won’t sit her eggs. They took a rather convoluted journey to me due to current social distancing rules. I’ve bobbed them in the incubator unwashed at 37.5 degrees centigrade and humidity set at 55%. They should be around 30 days to pipping. I’ll candle them at 10 days to see if they’re fertile and increase humidity to around 75% from about 26 days. My incubator will control humidity automatically so long as I keep topping up the water in the reservoir and will also turn the eggs automatically. Fingers crossed for a good hatch. We’ve been promised one of the geese for our Christmas dinner!
